It's inevitable - how we will travel in the future will look dramatically different from today.
Toyota recently unveiled their FV2 concept, which is made to replicate the relationship between a human and a horse. It appeared at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and showcases some not-to-typical features.
First off, it has no steering wheel. Secondly, the driver stands rather than sits while operating the FV2.
In order to steer the vehicle the driver must shift his or her weight, kind of like how a rider maneuvers on a horse. Toyota's press release for the FV2 further elaborated on the animal correlation, noting 'the relationships between drivers and their vehicles will continue to develop aspects of trust and understanding, similar to those a rider will have with a horse.'
With a giant windscreen, the standing solo rider is protected from the elements of the road. The vehicle also possesses innovative technology. It comes equipped with a transport system that connects to other cars on the road and highway infrastructure to alert the driver of potential dangers.
An augmented reality display can be showcased on the windscreen. What do you think of the FV2?
